Vaccination to Livestock
Animal vaccination plays a vital role in protecting livestock health, reducing animal suffering, and ensuring the efficient production of safe and nutritious food. Vaccines safeguard cows, goats, and other domestic animals from infectious diseases, while also reducing the need for antibiotics and supporting public health.
Recognizing the importance of immunization, ASA in collaboration with the Animal Resource Department (ARD) of Muribahal block organized a training programme on livestock vaccination. An expert facilitator from ARD trained 20 ASA volunteers on vaccination practices for domestic animals. The training highlighted how immunization not only protects livestock but also ensures the availability of healthy food products such as milk, eggs, and meat, while also strengthening the bond between people and their animals.
